لبنان. فاشادوا
الاديار والمعابد والكنائس اينما حلوا وحيثما
قطنوا وها اديارهم في جبل موسى - يحشوش والبقيعة -
عرمون وغزير تشهد بامجادهم. اما اليوم فعائلة ال
زوين موجودة في قرى كسروان التالية: بزحل، جورة
بدران، حارة صخر، جونية، صربا، الزعيترة، العذراء،
غبالة، غزير

all Zoueins. I might be one of you--i don't
know! I'm interested in genealogy,particularly in
New England, United States, in the 1700s. My
direct ancestor (7 generations back) was
Abraham Somes of Somesville, Mt. Desert
Island, Maine. Now i find on the ancestry.com
pages an alternative: he was Ibrahim Fares
Zouein, born 1732 in Gloucester,
Massachusetts, and died in Maine in 1819. Can this
be??
I am very motivated to find out if anyone
knows of Zoueins who changed their names to Somes.
This Abraham Somes, 1732-1819, who married
Hannah Herrick, had a son usually known as Abraham
Somes Jr., but now comes up as Maroun Ibrahim
Zouein--1763-1845.
