The miraculous sanctuary of Our Lady of Mantara is the ultimate sanctuary for Mary. Its history is derived from the sacred tradition which mentions that the Virgin Mary had accompanied Jesus and his apostles on missionary tours in the borders of Tyr and Saida (Matthew 21:15).
Due to the impossibility of entering the pagan cities, Mary was waiting on a hill overlooking Saida and its surroundings in a cave known as the "Grotto of Our Lady of Mantara" i.e. "Waiting". Located at the western entrance of the town Maghdouche in the South of Lebanon.

At the top of the tower, the Virgin Mary carries her divine child in her arms. The tower is 28 m in height, and the bronze statue is made in Italy of 8.15m in height, 3.50m large at the shoulder, and 6 tons in weight. It was raised by the hymns and songs of joy on May 16, 1963

مزار سيدة المنطرة، مغدوشة في لبنان يُعد مزار "سيدة المنطرة" العجائبي مزاراً مريمياً بامتياز؛ إذ يستمد تاريخه من التقليد المقدس الذي يذكر أن السيدة العذراء رافقت يسوع وتلاميذه في جولاتهم التبشيرية في تخوم صور وصيدا (متى 21: 15). ونظراً لاستحالة دخول المدن الوثنية، كانت مريم تنتظر في مغارة تقع على تلة مشرفة على مدينة صيدا ومحيطها، وهي المغارة المعروفة باسم "مغارة سيدة المنطرة" (أي مغارة الانتظار). يقع المزار عند المدخل الغربي لبلدة مغدوشة في جنوب لبنان. في قمة البرج، تحمل السيدة العذراء طفلها الإلهي بين ذراعيها. يبلغ ارتفاع البرج 28 متراً، أما التمثال البرونزي -الذي صُنع في إيطاليا- فيبلغ ارتفاعه 8,15 متراً، وعرضه عند الكتفين 3,50 متراً، ووزنه 6 أطنان؛ وقد رُفع التمثال وسط الترانيم وأهازيج الفرح في 16 مايو 1963
