V 001 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering
into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
V 002 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the
word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them
that heard it.
V 003 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I
have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the
works were finished from the foundation of the world.
V 004 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise,
And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
V 005 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
V 006 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and
they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
V 007 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after
so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden
not your hearts.
V 008 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have
spoken of another day.
V 009 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
V 010 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his
own works, as God did from his.
V 011 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall
after the same example of unbelief.
V 012 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and
spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
V 013 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:
but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we
have to do.
V 014 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into
the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
V 015 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the
feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we
are, yet without sin.
V 016 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. |

فَما دامَ لنا وَعدُ الدُّخولِ في راحَةِ الله، فعَلَينا أنْ
نَخافَ مِنْ أنْ يَحسُبَ أحَدٌ نَفسَهُ مُتَأَخِّرًا.
2-
سَمِعنا البِشارَةَ كما سَمِعوها هُم، ولكنَّهُم ما
اَنتَفَعوا بِالكلامِ الذي سَمِعوهُ لأنَّهُ كانَ غَيرَ
مُمتَزِجِ عِندَهُم بالإيمانِ.
3-
أمَّا نَحنُ المُؤْمِنينَ
فنَدخُلُ في راحَةِ الله. فهوَ الذي قالَ: «أقسَمتُ في
غَضَبي أنْ لا يَدخُلوا في راحَتي«،
معَ أنَّ عمَلَهُ تمَ مُنذُ إنشاءِ العالَمِ.
4-
وقالَ في
الكلامِ على اليومِ السّابِعِ: «واَستَراحَ الله في اليومِ
السّابِعِ مِنْ جميعِ أعمالِهِ«.
5-
وقالَ أيضًا: «لنْ يَدخُلوا في راحَتي«.
6-
وإذا كانَ الذينَ سَمِعوا البِشارَةَ أوَّلاً ما دخَلوا في
راحَةِ الله لِعصيانِهِم، فإنَّهُ بَقِيَ لآخرينَ أنْ
يَدخُلوا فيها.
7-
لذلِكَ عادَ الله إلى تَوقيتِ يومِ هوَ
«اليومُ«
في قَولِهِ بِلِسانِ داودَ، بَعدَ زمَنٍ طويلٍ، ما سَبَقَ
ذِكرُهُ وهوَ: «اليومَ، إذا سَمِعتُم صَوتَ الله فلا
تُقَسُّوا قُلوبَكُم«.
8-
فلَو كانَ يَشوعُ أدخَلَهُم في راحَةِ الله، لما ذكَرَ الله
فيما بَعدُ يومًا آخَرَ.
9-
فبَقِيَت، إذًا، لِشَعبِ الله
راحَةِ مِثلُ راحَةِ الله في اليومِ السّابِعِ،
10-
لأنَّ مَنْ
دخَلَ في راحَةِ الله يَستَريحُ مِنْ أعمالِهِ كما اَستَراحَ
الله مِنْ أعمالِهِ.
11-
فلْنَبذُل جُهدَنا في سبيلِ الدُّخولِ في تِلكَ
الرّاحةِ لِئَلاّ يقَعَ أحَدٌ في مِثلِ ذلِكَ التَّمَرُّدِ.
12-
وكلِمَةُ الله حيَّةِ فاعِلَةِ، أمضى مِنْ كُلِّ
سَيفٍ لَه حَدّانِ، تَنفُذُ في الأعماقِ إلى ما
بَينَ النَّفسِ والرُّوحِ والمَفاصِلِ ومِخاخِ
العِظامِ، وتَحكُمُ على خَواطِرِ القَلبِ وأفكارِهِ.
13-
فما مِنْ خَليقَةٍ تَخفَى على الله، بَل كُلُّ
شيءٍ عارٍ مكشوفٌ لِعَينَيهِ ولَه نُؤَدِّي
الحِسابَ.

14-
فلْنَتَمَسَّكْ بإيمانِنا، لأنَّ لنا في يَسوعَ
اَبنِ الله رَئيسَ كَهنَةٍ عَظيمًا اَجتازَ
السَّماواتِ.
15-
ورَئيسُ كَهنَتِنا غيرُ عاجِزٍ عَنْ أنْ يُشفِقَ على
ضَعفِنا، وهوَ الذي خَضَعَ مِثلَنا لِكُلِّ
تَجرِبَةٍ ما عَدا الخَطيئَةَ.
16-
فلْنَتَقَدَّمْ بِثِقَةٍ إلى عَرشِ واهِبِ
النِّعمَةِ لنَنالَ رَحمَةً ونَجِدَ نِعمَةً
تُعينُنا عِندَ الحاجَةِ. |
